exercise & cancer

Delivery and prescription of exercise as an adjunct therapy is now recognised and recommended by the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia as essential care alongside standard cancer treatment.

Research shows that participation in exercise guided by a health professional can be beneficial in reducing the impact of cancer and its treatments, while improving quality of life throughout survivorship and reducing the risk of cancer recurrence.

At Optimum Exercise Physiology we assist individuals throughout their cancer journey with in-depth understanding and exercise prescription to achieve individualised goals.

Our commitment to ever-growing research and upskilling ensures safe and effective exercise prescription based on the most current evidence, and our personal approach guarantees individualised treatment and highest quality care in combination with your other treatment modalities and medical team.

We work closely with clients, one day at a time, taking into consideration their stage of treatment, physical and emotional wellbeing and prescribe exercise appropriately.

Exercise rehabilitation is both beneficial for people's physical and mental wellbeing throughout their cancer treatment journey and beyond.
