joint & muscle pain

Joint and muscle pain are common musculoskeletal complaints. Your pain may be due to muscles, ligaments, joints, cartilage and soft tissue, or a combination of these.

Muscles which contract to create movement can be injured, and become strained.  Ligaments around joints help control the available movement of a joint, and can be sprained if overstretched. This can also make the less unstable and create damage to the joint.

We provide exercise and rehabilitation for a range of conditions including but not limited to:
  • Lower back pain
  • Muscle strain
  • Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis
  • Pre and Post joint replacement rehabilitation
  • Shoulder pain and pre and post shoulder surgery rehabilitation
  • Sciatica
  • Neck pain
  • Hip pain
  • Knee pain and Knee injuries and return to full function rehab
  • Bursitis

We work with you, and any other people within your health care team to get you moving and feeling better.

JOINT & MUSCLE FACTS

✔   Most people with joint and muscle pain do not need an X-ray, CT or MRI scan.

✔   The joints most often affected by osteoarthritis are the hips, knees, hands and feet.

✔ Cartilage and other soft tissues around joints that are commonly injured can be slow to recover.
